09/19/2009 — The Trion High School boys’ varsity football team defeated Gordon Central, 37-19, in a non-league contest played Friday at Trion Stadium.
The Class A Trion Bulldogs defeated the Class AA Gordon Central Varsity football team in an exciting game. The first half was a nearly evenly-matched contest, with Gordon Central leading by a narrow, 19-13 margin at half time.
The second half, however, was completely dominated by a charged-up Trion team. The Bulldogs’ shined on offense and defense, shutting down the highly-rated Warriors’ offense and scoring 24 unanswered points.
